The 50th Annual Grammy Awards were held February 10, 2008 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Newcomer Amy Winehouse had six nominations and took home five Grammys including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. Winehouse performed her song "Rehab" via satellite from London. The only nomination she didn't win was Album of the Year, which went to surprise winner Herbie Hancock for 'River: The Joni Letters'. Kanye West led in nominations with eight and took home four Grammy Awards.
