The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held September 18, 2016 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angels with Jimmy Kimmel hosting. "The People v O.J. Simpson" limited series won five Emmy in the Primetime ceremony. "Game of Thrones" repeated as outstanding drama series. "Veep" repeated as outstanding comedy series and star Julia Louis-Dreyfus won lead actress in a comedy for the fifth year in a row.
